The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has updated the schedule for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025.

The exam will take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, with two shifts each day at various centres.
GATE 2025 will be conducted in two sessions: morning and afternoon.

GATE 2025 Exam Format and Marking SchemeThis years GATE exam will be computer-based and conducted in English.
Participants have three hours to complete it.
Questions will include Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ), and numerical answer type (NAT) formats.
A negative marking system applies to MCQs.
For a wrong answer in a one-mark MCQ question, one-third of a mark is deducted; for a two-mark MCQ question answered incorrectly, two-thirds of a mark is subtracted.
MSQ and NAT questions do not have negative marking or partial credit.
