PRTU TS demands release of teachers pending bills
Hyderabad: The Progressive Recognised Teachers' Union Telangana State (PRTU TS) demanded the State government immediately release pending bills pertaining to teachers.
In a meeting convened with union district presidents and general secretaries here on Friday, Sripal Reddy said teachers have been facing serious difficulties as their bills related to GPF, medical, surrender leaves, TSGLI and retirement benefits have been pending with the State government for the last one and half years.
Sripal Reddy demanded the government pay these immediately.
Further, as stated in the Congress manifesto, Sripal Reddy wanted the government to abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) besides implementing minimum wage scale for Samagra Shiksha employees.
Apart from release of four pending DAs, he also wanted the second PRC implementation.
The teachers union wanted the government to change the timetable of welfare residential schools as per the convenience of students besides paying salaries of Model Schools, aided and welfare residential schools teachers via 010 account.
They also wanted the minimum wages for the contract residential teachers (CRTs) working in the Ashram schools.
PRTU TS general secretary P Damodar Reddy, former MLC Mohan Reddy, Karimnagar MLC candidate Vanga Mahender Reddy, former president P Venkat Reddy, former general secretary G Laxman among others participated in the meeting.
